Visitor Visa
A visitor visa, also known as a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), is a paper from the government that lets people from other countries come to Canada. Visitors are folks who can legally go to Canada but aren’t citizens or permanent residents there. People can come to Canada for reasons like going on vacation, visiting family, or doing business.
How Long You Can Stay
If you have a temporary visa, you can stay in Canada for up to six months. Sometimes, the border officers might let you stay longer than six months, or they might tell you to leave sooner. They’ll write the details in your passport to tell you when you need to leave.
